Colonial Metals says it will name a chief executive and make a number of other corporate changes by the end of the first quarter of 2015.
Mann, who has served in a host of positions with Colonial Metals since 1969, has been president for the past 12 years.
Colonial Metals says it purchases and recycles nearly 90 million pounds of scrap metal and nonferrous scrap each year into ingots and other high-grade casting alloys.
Colonial Metals says that under Mann’s direction, the company has grown to become one of the largest, most diversified brass and bronze ingot makers in the world.
Mann will remain with Colonial as long as necessary to ensure a smooth transition, the company says. Following the transition, Mann will remain with the company as an advisor and member of the company’s board of directors.
