Alter Trading, St. Louis, has announced the appointment of Andrew Cole as vice president of human resources and organizational development for Goldstein Group Inc., whose subsidiaries include Alter Trading Corp. and Alter Co. The appointment is effective Feb. 6, 2012.
Cole comes to the company from battery company A123 Systems, Waltham, Mass., where he was the executive vice president of human resources and organizational development. Prior to joining A123 Systems, he was employed by Schneider Electric’s APC Division and American Power Conversion.
In his new role with Goldstein Group, Cole will advise on all aspects of human resource planning and strategy.
Founded in 1898, Alter Trading Corp. operates 37 metal recycling facilities and five trading offices in eight states as well as a representative sales office in Hong Kong.
