Coastal Wire Co., Georgetown, South Carolina, has launched its Virtual Emergency repair service offered by its Wire Tier Parts and Service Division to serve its customers in the recycling industry. in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Coastal Wire reports that it has been working on a plan to protect its employees and customers from the coronavirus.
“For the last month, the company has been experimenting with how to make an offering to the recycling community without risking unnecessary exposure of our service technicians and customers and still being able to conduct emergency service repairs for our customers on their wire tiers,” the company states in a news release on the Virtual Emergency repair service.
With the Virtual Emergency repair service, Coastal Wire has set up its training facility in Georgetown with a virtual platform to walk customers through an emergency service or repair on their tiers. By using interactive video technology on a smartphone or computer, such as FaceTime and Skype, Coastal Wire technicians can walk its customers through the repair process.
According to Coastal Wire, the new service only costs customers the price of the parts needed to repair the equipment.
“We at Coastal Wire feel it’s our obligation to keep you up and running during this pandemic while also protecting our employees and valued customers from unnecessary exposure,” the company states. “With this service, we can get you back up and running in limited time in most cases. This offering is geared around the pandemic and will be available until travel is safe for both parties.”
