CMRA Prepares for 2013 Convention

The China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association’s Recycling Metals Branch (CMRA) will be hosting its 2013 Annual Convention at the CQ International Convention & Exhibition Center in in Chongqing, China, Nov. 6-9.

“The forum will focus on the latest Chinese policies and regulations; technology and equipment; environmental protection; and market and trade,” says the CMRA. The group also says, “A new onsite service center has been added that provides consultation on certificate authentication, improvements and innovation on technology and equipment.”

Among the topics addressed at the conference portion of the event will be:
•    Operation Green Fence;
•    the Yuxinou (Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe) International Railway line, also known as the “modern Silk Road”;
•    nonferrous metals price and market forecasts;
•    technology pertaining to recycling copper, aluminum, lead and zinc;
•    end-of life vehicle and electronics recycling; and
•    city recycling efforts in China.

The event’s exhibition hall will consist of several dozen booths  with displays from equipment, technology and service providers.

The CMRA says as of mid-September more than 300 participants and 50 exhibitors have signed up for the 2013 convention and that 1,000 people expected to attend.
