CMC to Service Terex North American Plants

Equipment maker enters into multi-year contract with scrap recycler.

The CMC Recycling division of Commercial Metals Co., Irving, Texas, has entered into a multi-year contract with Terex Corp. to provide scrap management services at Terex’s North American plants.

“We are pleased to be awarded this contract,” says Larry Olschwanger, a vice president with CMC Recycling. “We look forward to working with the Terex team to set up a scrap management program that will maximize the value of the scrap metal generated by their manufacturing processes.”

 

Headquartered in Westport, Conn., Terex makes a wide range of equipment for use in the construction, infrastructure, quarrying, surface mining, shipping, transportation, refining, utility and other industries.

 

CMC Recycling’s National Accounts Group provides specialized scrap management services to more than 350 manufacturing plants within North America and Europe.

 

Commercial Metals Co. and its subsidiaries manufacture, recycle and market steel and metal products, related materials and services through assets that include steel mini-mills, metal recycling facilities, steel fabrication and processing plants, construction-related product warehouses, a copper tube mill, and marketing and distribution offices.
