Commercial Metals Co.’s secondary metals processing division has completed the acquisition of substantially all the transportation assets of the scrap metal processing operation of Sampson Steel Corp., Beaumont, Tex.
Harry J. Heinkele, president of CMC’s Scrap Division, noted that the acquired company “has a large industrial base and has established a reputation for excellent service. CMC will continue the tradition of providing excellent customer service."
This acquisition will be combined with CMC's existing scrap processing facility in Beaumont which has been in operation since 1949. Sampson Steel will continue to operate its steel service business at its present location.Get curated news on YOUR industry.
