Clean Water Technology (CWT),
According to a press release from CWT, “Compared to conventional DAF (dissolved air filtration), GEM systems are far more effective in the reduction of suspended solids; enhance reduction of COD (chemical oxygen demand) and free oil and grease (FOG) and produce a drier, longer-floating sludge.” GEM allows the use of sophisticated chemical treatment using an array of polymers adaptable to specific effluent parameters.
The secret to this high efficiency system, according to CWT, is the patented liquid cyclone particle positioner (LCPP) technology, which introduces micro air bubbles while injecting chemicals in the same mixing chamber.
GEM packaged plants are designed to be installed in approximately one-tenth the space of conventional DAF systems, according to CWT. GEM’s modular design can also act as a temporary mobile water treatment system.
“Our ability to attach smaller sized bubbles to 100 percent of the wastewater gives us a huge performance edge over the competition, which typically can only put dissolved air into 20 percent of the stream. There is no other technology on the market today that can do this,” Ariel Lechter, president of Clean Water Technology Inc., says.
