Metso Lindemann’s North American operation in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has announced the sale of a 60/80 dual discharge shredder to City Scrap & Salvage, Akron, Ohio.
The Metso Lindeman 60/80 shredder features 2-inch-thick side walls, a 4-inch-thick front wall, an 8-inch-thick reject door, 12 self-supporting grates and a 4-inch-thick AR side grate supports.
The 46,000-pound base weldment will be fed on a 35-degree chute.
The addition of the new shredder will enable City Scrap to increase its motor capacity to 3,000 horsepower with the purchase of two Waukesha L7042G engines, according to a release from Metso Lindemann.
The shredder is expected to be in full production by January 2005.
