San Diego is attempting to lessen the amount of paper that goes into the Miramar Landfill. The project will work in conjunction with Allan Co., as well as the city of San Diego’s Miramar Recycling Center.
Allan Company is providing secure containers for participants to drop off old files before they are shredded and recycled at a location at the end of the event. The program is running from April 12-24.
The week-long tax file recycling event is free to the public and is held in conjunction with the “Clean Your Files Day,” which is designed to encourage people to recycle excess paper waste.
Both residential and business tax files will be accepted by Allan Co., which operates the Miramar Recycling Center.
