Daryl J. Russ has been named as the new vice president of operations for City Carton Recycling, Iowa City, Iowa. Russ is replacing Andy Ockenfels, who now serves as company president.
According to a City Carton news release, Russ is responsible for the planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of company-wide operations, including its eight recycling facilities. Russ provides leadership to the company’s facility managers, coordinating and directing company business policies and plans. He is also responsible for ensuring safe, consistent and efficient operations, says the news release.
Russ has nearly 20 years of experience in management, supervision, and operations. Prior to joining the City Carton Recycling, he was a director of materials management for Verista Imaging Inc. of Knoxville, Iowa; a production manager for Curwood of Centerville, Iowa; and has held various management and supervisory positions for Newell Rubbermaid in Centerville, Iowa.
Russ’ office is located at City Carton Recycling’s corporate headquarters in Iowa City.
