City Carton, Iowa City, Iowa, has hired Eric Smith as recycling facilities manager of its Iowa locations in Mt. Pleasant, Muscatine and Creston locations. Smith will oversee all operations of the three Iowa facilities. He will be responsible for implementing a plan for the plants to market products and services offered by City Carton Recycling with the goals of maximizing customer service, vendor relations, sales and profits.
Smith also is responsible for building needs, equipment needs and personnel at the plant. He will report to Daryl Russ, City Carton Recycling’s vice president of operations.
City Carton, founded in 1967, is a full service paper recycling company. Additionally, the company sells and services a full range of new and rebuilt recycling and refuse equipment.
The company has a total of eight recycling facilities in Iowa. The company also operates Document Destruction and Recycling Services, a full service, bonded, confidential materials shredding company with facilities in Cedar Rapids, Davenport and Altoona.
