Circular Solutions Advisors (CSA), Roswell, Georgia, and plastic recovery and recycling software development company Plastiks have partnered to combine recycling knowledge with Plastiks’ blockchain technology to ensure accurate and transparent results in reporting. The partnership was announced at the World Recycling Convention in Rome.
“The verification of plastic waste collection and recycling is crucial for ensuring transparency in sustainability efforts and the implementation of the circular economy through blockchain,” Plastiks CEO and Founder André Vanyi-Robin says. “This guarantees transparency, trust and prevents greenwashing."
According to Plastiks, its blockchain-based platform enables businesses and factories to verify plastic recovery efforts by tracking and documenting collection and reuse.
“Credibility is at the heart of circular economy reporting,” says J.T. Marburger, CEO of CSA. “For years, we have helped organizations divert material from landfills and verify their recycling efforts. With this partnership, we are going to a new level, ensuring no step is overlooked.”
Plastiks says while many associate blockchain technology with cryptocurrency, it has broader applications, which include recording recycling transactions, ensuring integrity of publicly accessible data and establishing a foundation for reporting green claims to company stakeholders for regulatory compliance.
Plastiks is the operating and trading name of Nozama Tech Ltd., which is incorporated in Ireland with operations in Barcelona, Spain.
