"Their active involvement and committed investment in CAA are vital to the organization’s effective and efficient implementation of EPR regulations in the United States," Charlie Schwarze, CAA board chair and head of sustainability at Keurig Dr Pepper, says of the new founding members.

CAA is implementing EPR laws for paper and packaging at the state level and is operating as the PRO in California, Colorado, Oregon and Minnesota. The organization also has been selected to represent producer interests as the PRO on the State Producer Responsibility Advisory Council in Maryland.

“One of our strategic operating principles at CAA is to provide strong producer governance of EPR programs and effective representation of producers’ priorities,” CAA CEO Jeff Fielkow says. “The Campbell’s Co., Ikea and Starbucks Corp. will contribute valuable perspectives to our board, further strengthening our capacity to effectively represent the diverse priorities of all producers.”

CAA’s existing board members include Amazon, Conagra Brands, The Coca-Cola Co., Colgate-Palmolive, Danone, Ferrero, General Mills, Georgia-Pacific, Keurig Dr Pepper, The Kraft Heinz Co., L’Oréal, Mars Inc., Mondelēz International, Nestlé USA, Niagara Bottling LLC, PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble, SC Johnson, Target and Walmart.
