Cingular, Tennessee Titans Team Up for Harvest for Hunger

Cingular Wireless wants residents of Tennessee to bring their old cell phones to one of its middle Tennessee stores for a recycling campaign to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.

Beginning July 1 and running through the end of the year, Cingular will collect used phones -- regardless of the carrier -- which will be sent to Wireless Redemption for recycling. Wireless Redemption in turn will pay Cingular for the phones it has collected. All funds raised through the recycling program will go directly to Second Harvest Food Bank.

"Giving back to the community is a top priority for our company," Jim
McHargue, the director of sales for Cingular's Central Tennessee market, says. "The Second Harvest Food Bank is an incredible organization that's making a
difference in our community by striving to end hunger. I can't think of a more
worthwhile cause than that."

In addition, used wireless phones will be collected at the Oct. 16 Tennessee Titans home game against the Cincinnati Bengals. A check will be presented to Second Harvest Food Bank during halftime at the Titans' December

Cingular raised more than $4,000 for the food bank last year through a
used phone drive at one of the Titan's home games.
