A collection of more than 50 companies have formed the China Scrap Plastics Association, according to recently published reports.
The goal of the new association is to promote the development of the scrap plastics industry in China, build a communication platform for the industry and the government and resolve the key issues affecting the development of the scrap plastics industry.
The association’s inaugural ceremony will be held during the 8th China Plastics Recycling Exhibition & Conference Nov. 6-7, 2012.
So far, the association says that it has provided opinions on the relevant departments to the new policy of Guangzhou customs scrap material clearance, the issues of scrap plastics pollution in Ganyu, the access conditions for imported scrap plastics in Ministry of Environment Protection against solid scrap smuggling in the second half of 2012 and some other scrap plastics industrial hot issues, promote the communication and exchange between industry and government.
