Scholz Recycling gets new management team

New positions follow Chiho-Tiande’s moves to become company's sole shareholder.

Chiho-Tiande Group Ltd., (CTG ) a Hong Kong-based mixed metal scrap recycling company, has announced the introduction of a new management team for the Germany-based Scholz Recycling GmbH, the new operational holding company of Scholz Group.

CTG is seeking to become the sole shareholder of Scholz Group.

According to CTG, the new management team will focus on driving the business forward, unlocking revenue growth and carefully realigning Scholz Group to increase profitability.

Oliver Scholz and Dr. Gerd Hähne have been named as part of the management board of Scholz Recycling. Scholz will be interim CEO, and Hähne will serve as CEO for the German and Polish business. Additionally, four new members have been designated for the future management team of Scholz Recycling.

Following CTG receiving merger clearance, Henry Qin will be named co-CEO. Qin has served as executive vice president and executive director of the board of Chiho-Tiande Group.

Also named to the management staff at the newly configured Scholz Recycling is Jochen Fischer, who has been designated as Group CFO.

Kai Lohmann has been named Group COO. In this function, he will be responsible for the operational business of Scholz Group. Lohmann presently acts as an advisor to CTG. He previously was managing director of the metals recycling company Cronimet.

Martin Billhardt joins the management staff, becoming chief transformation officer. He will be responsible for Scholz’s ongoing transformation.

In announcing the new positions, Tu Jianhua, executive director and chairman of CTG, says, “In the future, Scholz Recycling will be led by an experienced and capable management team. The members have proven their qualities in diverse leadership roles, gathering in-depth experience in all fields of corporate management, including successful business transformation and realignment.

“At the same time, the new designated members will be working together with Oliver Scholz and Gerd Hähne. The combination of deep knowledge of Scholz and new management vigor will be the foundation for developing Scholz Group into an integral part of the future globally leading metal recycling company.”
