The Brussels-based associations Chemical Recycling Europe (CRE) and Polymer Comply Europe (PCE) say thy will host a live webinar on Sept. 24 titled “How depolymerization technologies contribute to the creation of a circular economy for plastics.” The two-hour webinar has been scheduled from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Central European Time.
Presenters and panelists on the program include: Dr. Mattia Comotto of Italy-based Nylon 6 producer Aquafil Group; Antonella Annunziata of Italy-based acrylics producer Madreperla SpA; Dr. Claudia Pudack of Switzerland-based plastics equipment provider Sulzer Chemtech; and Maurizio Crippa of Switzerland-based chemical recycling firm Gr3n.
“Developments in chemical recycling technologies are creating new opportunities for recovering resources from plastic [scrap] in which polymers can be efficiently recycled directly into their own starting materials,” state the two organizations.
“During the webinar, we will highlight selected major progress made and the technical and environmental benefits obtained in the field of depolymerization of [discarded] plastic materials,” add the trade associations.
