The Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI) has announced that it is organizing a workshop that will study methods of detecting and removing chemical and physical contaminants from recovered paper.

The quality of recovered paper is a vital topic when considering the response of the industry toward pressure for additional recycling. There will be an emphasis on methodology for the detection of chemical substances, which will make the event particularly useful for those working in the area of food contact materials where special purity limits are in operation.
