The aim of the acquisitions, says Centrol, is to expand the services it can offer its customers to comply with forthcoming regulations.
Rachael Heaps, managing director for Centrol, said: "Centrol Recycling Group now offers one of the largest ranges of recycling and waste management services in the UK. Axis Waste Services which will now move its operations to Centrol's Widnes site. Axis specializes in hazardous and special waste transport and disposal including chemicals, toxic material, solvents and drugs.
Liverpool-based Security Shredding Services operates mobile destruction units.
Heaps said: "Here at Centrol, we offer recycling services, consultancy advice and total waste management to a variety of businesses ranging from small office concerns to large blue chip corporates." LetsRecycle.com
