Cellular Recycler of Boulder, Colo., is teaming up with Paper John’s Pizza of Colorado and Minnesota to collect used cell phones to benefit Rocky Mountain USO and Children's Hospital of Minnesota, respectively.
Forty-six Colorado Papa John’s locations and 35 of the chain’s Minnesota locations will collect old, unused, broken and working cell phones from Nov. 5 through Dec. 15. Every customer who drops off or gives a cell phone to the company’s delivery drivers will receive a gift certificate for a free order of breadsticks with their next Papa John’s order.
Cellular Recycler will process all of the phones collected, refurbishing them or breaking them down for parts.
The company’s mission is to partner with schools, businesses and nonprofit organizations to provide fundraising programs and charitable donations by recycling used cell phones. Through Cellular Recycler’s program, schools and organizations gather used phones, filling up the cellular recycling kit provided. In return, Cellular Recycler cuts the organization a check or makes a donation to the designated charity.
