A new industry event, The C&D Recycling Forum, has been announced by Construction & Demolition Recycling magazine. The event has received sponsorship support from the National Demolition Association and will be organized in coordination with that group and with consulting firm Gershman, Brickner & Bratton Inc. (GBB), Fairfax, Va.
The event will take place Oct. 3 - 5 in Baltimore. Its organizers say the event "aims to foster the profitable recycling of construction and demolition materials. The recycling of construction materials and demolition debris is essential to meet increasing landfill diversion rates but also is important to unlock the economic value contained in these materials."
Programming at the C&D Recycling Forum will focus on how industry and government agencies can maximize opportunities and diversion through efficient operations and the maximization of material values. Maintaining low operating costs while focusing on market development are two essential ingredients for success.
The event's organizers say the Forum is "ideally suited to demolition contractors, general and road contractors, waste haulers, solid waste and recycling officials, scrap dealers and recyclers and those already recycling C&D materials, the event's compressed schedule of information-packed educational sessions and workshops delivers tremendous value."
