Recyclers gathered for the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI) Convention and Exposition in Orlando, Fla., in April will have the option to attend a workshop on recycling plastics from the construction and demolition (C&D) material stream.
The workshop takes place Friday, April 12, at 10 a.m. at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. It will be moderated by Brian Taylor, editorial director of the Recycling Today Media Group.
Two recyclers will be making presentations at the workshop: Paul Degnan of E.L. Harvey & Sons, Westborough, Mass.; and Todd Byrum of Butler Paper Recycling, Suffolk, Va.
The presentations by Taylor, Degnan and Byrum are expected to address challenges, opportunities and emerging markets for plastic scrap collected from construction and demolition sites.
The ISRI Convention and Exposition is one of the largest recycling events in the United States each year. More information on the convention, including how to register, can be found at www.isriconvention.org.
