Casella Waste Systems, Inc. reported financial results for the third quarter of the fiscal year. For the quarter ended January 31 the company reported pro forma earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization and minority interest of $21.4 million; revenue for the quarter was $100.8 million. Pro forma net income for the quarter was $1.8 million.
For the nine months ended January 31 the company reported pro forma revenues of $322.9 million, EBITDA of $ 70.9 million, and net income of $8.0 million.
"We're pleased to report another quarter marked by stable, on-target performance," John W. Casella, chairman and CEO of Casella Waste Systems, said. "Clearly, the steps we've taken in the last twelve months to strengthen our core solid waste business are driving our return to predictability. "For example, we've reduced our debt by $139 million over the last twelve months through divestitures and working capital improvements and, as a result, we've exceeded our debt reduction target for the full fiscal year after just nine months," Casella said. "It's part of our commitment to execute on the things we can control.
