Cascades Inc. announced the opening of a new tissue paper converting plant in Kingman, Ariz. The plant will allow Cascades to increase its integration level. The new facility cost $13 million.
The plant will allow Cascades to serve its retail and away from home customers located in the western United States. It will house eleven converting lines that will produce bathroom tissue, napkins, hand towels and household towels. The facility will have a yearly capacity of 4 million cases and will be supplied by the Cascades tissue machine located in St-Helens, Oregon. The opening of the mill is expected in the first quarter of next year.
