Cascades announced that its Boxboard Group will be closing its folding carton converting operations in Montreal by the first quarter of next year. The company also said that it will be transferring its customer base, as well as equipment to other operations in the Cascades network.
The cost of the closing as well as the transfer of equipment will be financed primarily by the sale of the plant's property holdings.
