Cascades Inc., Kingsey Falls, Quebec, has announced the appointment of Eric Laflamme as president and chief operating officer, North America, of Cascades Boxboard Group Inc.
Reporting to Laurent Lemaire, president and chief executive officer of Cascades Inc., Laflamme assumes the responsibility for managing the North American operations of Cascades Boxboard Group Inc., which includes three boxboard-manufacturing mills with an annual production capacity of 345,000 metric tons and six converting plants with an annual capacity to convert 130,000 metric tons of boxboard into folding cartons.
After obtaining his CMA in 1986, Laflamme joined Cascades in 1987 as
a controller for Cascades Industries Inc. in Kingsey Falls, and then for Cascades Niagara Falls Inc. in Niagara Falls, New York in 1988.
In 1989, he was transferred to Europe where he joined Cascades S.A. as
controller for the boxboard mill in Djupafors, Sweden, where he became plant
