The Italian company Cartonfer srl has been using Germany-based Sennebogen material handlers for many years. Whether in paper recycling or scrap handling, where material is moved and must be sorted, the company uses these mobile machines.
Cartonfer, a family company in the Italian city of Vittorio Veneto, uses the a variety of material handlers to move all its material, from the Sennebogen 723 to the 830. As it is typical in Italy, the machines work almost entirely without outriggers. Therefore, stability of the mobile undercarriage without the use of outriggers is of upmost importance, whether during shear feeding or loading trucks.
Italy-based Cesaro Mac Import is Sennebogen’s marketing and service partner and delivered one of the first Sennebogen 825 Mobiles to Cartofer srl—the very first Sennebogen machine Cesaro sold in Italy. In the meantime, this first machine has operated more than 22,300 hours.
Luca Casagrande, managing director of Cartonfer, says he considers the robust design and the high degree of reliability of the material handler as the most important feature. "The elevating cab, a comprehensive lighting package and incredible maneuverability of the mobile machine pay for themselves during the daily work in the scrap yard. We sort the incoming material very meticulously; this requires the driver's intuitive flair as well as a very sensitive control system,” Casagrande says.
