On Monday, April 12, the Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Association of Recycling Industries (CARI) will host a Spring Dinner Meeting at the Marriott Toronto Airport hotel. The meeting will consist of a dinner followed by comments from two speakers.
James Ebidia, president of Proactive Health & Safety Solutions, will talk about a recent amendment to the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act. Starting on June 15, 2010, Bill 168 “will require worker protection from violence and harassment as well as establishing new specific worker rights relating to violence,” according to a news release from CARI.
The second speaker, Jack Cohen, president of IYB Consultants, will offer remarks about the growing use of ATM-style cash-dispensing units within the scrap industry.
More information about the event can be obtained by calling CARI at (905) 426-9313.
