The 64th Annual General Meeting, Convention and Exposition of the Canadian Association of Recycling Industries (CARI) has been scheduled for June 11-13 in downtown Toronto.
However, those wishing to stay at the Convention hotel, the historic Fairmont Royal York, will only have until Weds., May 11 to be guaranteed a room within the CARI room block.
The annual gathering of Canadian scrap recyclers will feature several educational and networking opportunities, as well as an exhibit area with nearly 30 exhibitors.
Among the educational sessions will be a keynote address from Dr. David Suzuki on the “State of the Environment” on Sunday, June 12.
Also on Sunday, a panel of economists from Canadian institutions and universities will discuss the “State of the Economy.”
The networking and social opportunities will include a breakfast, two luncheons, two receptions and the closing banquet.
On Saturday, June 11, the event will kick off with a golf outing at Glen Abbey Golf Club, a course in nearby Oakville designed by Jack Nicklaus that served as the home of the 100th Canadian Open in 2004.
