Caraustar Industries, Inc. announced a price increase effective January 3, 2005 from 7.5 percent to 14 percent for composite cans, plastic cartridges and metal ends produced by the Composite Container Division of its Industrial & Consumer Products Group.
The price increases are the result of escalating steel, resin, paperboard and energy prices.
