Caraustar Industries, Inc. announced that it will raise prices on uncoated recycled paperboard grades by $40 per ton. The increase will become effective with shipments on August 23, 2002.
This increase is necessary in order for the company to recoup further dramatic increases in recovered fiber costs, especially increases in old corrugated container" that have occurred in late June and early July. Caraustar continues to review all areas of operating costs in an attempt to mitigate, wherever possible, the effect of cost increases on our customers.Latest from Recycling Today
