Caraustar Industries, Inc. announced that it will raise prices on all coated recycled paperboard grades by $50 per ton. The increase will become effective with shipments on April 10, 2004.
This price change will help offset increases in recovered fiber, energy, freight, benefits, insurance and other operating costs that have been incurred over the last few years, and which have recently escalated. Caraustar continues to be dedicated to providing customers with superior quality products and value-added service at competitive prices.
The decision by Caraustar follows the company’s recent announcement that it would raise the price of its uncoated recycled paperboard due to higher than expected raw material and energy costs.
