Caraustar Industries Inc. announced plans to close its plants in Georgetown, Ky., and Charlotte, N.C.
Work from the folding carton plant in Charlotte and the Georgetown plastics plant will be handled by Caraustar's plants in Randleman, N.C., Kingston Springs, Tenn., and Union, S.C.
It is expected that both facilities will continue to operate for several months to facilitate customer transition.
