Caraustar Industries, Inc. announced the permanent closure of its No. 2 coated recycled paperboard machine at the Rittman, Ohio facility. The machine was idled last February in order to more maximize the operations of its other coated paperboard machines: Rittman Paperboard No. 3, Sprague Paperboard and Tama Paperboard. Despite a restart, the company determined that the machine was not operating as efficiently as it had hoped.
