Calif. School Demo Project Boasts 99 Percent Recycling Rate

Contractor surpasses goal of 70 percent.

 

Silverado Construction, Pleasant Hill, Calif., has reported approaching a 99 percent recycling rate on its current demolition project at El Cerrito High School in El Cerrito, Calif., according to a report in the West County Times (Walnut Creek, Calif.).

 

The contractor is demolishing the original school buildings and building a transitional campus.

 

At nearly 99 percent, the company has surpassed its original goal of 70 percent recycling on the project, according to the report.
