Description: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment needed to demolish buildings T-201 and T-202 located at the Defense Distribution Depot Richmond, VA (DDRV).
Work entails the complete removal of all demolished materials. T-201 and T-202 are storage buildings enclosed on three sides by metal siding, covered by metal roofs, and open along one of the long sides of each building.
The structural system consists of structural steel columns mounted on piers, steel beams (with T-beam supports), and steel trusses.
Metal siding is approximately 0.040 inches thick. Each building is about 30,000 square feet in size (600' x 50') and one story in height. Demolished materials shall be disposed off to an approved dumpsite outside of the Defense Supply Center Richmond, VA.
With regards to the demolition, the paved floors of the buildings shall remain, as shall the piers with the exception that the piers on the open sides of the building shall be cut flush with existing pavements and be patched over. Patching at said pier location with either asphalt or concrete is acceptable.
The piers on the grassy or enclosed sides of the buildings shall remain in their present condition. The remaining components shall be demolished.
Any areas not in the contract and inadvertently disturbed shall be restored to their pre-demolition condition.
In addition, the contractor shall submit health, safety, and erosion and sediment control plans as well as a fire safety program for the government’s approval. Said plans must be approved before the contractor can begin work.
The contractor shall abide by all OSHA, state, federal and DSCR safety requirements. The work shall be completed within 90 days after notice to proceed.
All work shall be coordinated with Facilities Engineering representative, Bill Youmans (804-279-4694), or Alex Vazquez at (804-279-4213). Contractor shall visit job site to verify all measurements and conditions.

It is anticipated a firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns.
This project is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000.
