Ace Waste of Reston, Va., a collector and processor specializing in construction debris, has applied to build a solid waste transfer station and C&D recycling facility in Loudoun County, Va., according to a report in the Loudoun Times-Mirror (Leesburg, Va.).
The 23,00-square-foot transfer station, 20,000-square-foot truck facility and 65,000-square-foot material recovery facility would be located just north of Washington Dulles International Airport and would deal solely with construction debris.
Representatives from Ace Waste say the facility would handle an average of 400 tons per day of construction and demolition debris and expects to achieve a 95-percent recycling rate, according to the report.
