BURRTEC, a large private waste hauler and recycler based in Fontana, California, with material recovery facilities (MRFs) that it operates in Fontana, Riverside and Victorville, California, will soon install additional processing equipment to better serve its customers, according to equipment supplier Van Dyk Recycling Solutions (VDRS), Stamford, Connecticut.
The new sorting line will be equipped to process construction and dry commercial waste loads and can also be used to clean up source segregated organics before composting. The line will be capable of processing 20 to 30 tons per hour and includes the latest AWS screening technology from VDRS and Lubo.
Lubo’s patented AWS screen enables effective screening of challenging loads without the typical wrapping and maintenance of conventional screening alternatives, VDRS says. Multiple AWS screens have been installed and have proven to be an affordable alternative to more expensive trommels and slower shaking screens, the company adds.
