Buffalo Turbine, Springville, N.Y., is now offering its Monsoon dust control units with a gyratory atomizing nozzle.
The company says the new nozzle design “works simply by moving water or other fluid through a screen mesh that surrounds a rotating hub,” helping to trap “airborne dust particulates and odors, ultimately resulting in an immediate reduction of pollution on site.” According to the company, the rotating hub is a key since it is “driven by the extraordinary air velocity generated by the original Buffalo Turbine Debris Blower high-speed turbine style fan and can reach speeds of over 5,000 rpm.” The significant rotating speed ensures that dust-control solution “is forced through the rotating mesh screen, causing a high-speed impact that pulverizes the fluid into a uniform spectrum of atomized droplets. The tiny droplets, when formed, will mix with the highly turbulent airflow and will project the 30-to-200 micron-size particles into the air well beyond 150 feet, to immediately begin trapping dust particles.” More information on the Monsoon and other Buffalo Turbine dust control and debris blower products can be found at www.buffaloturbine.com.
