Budget Waste Inc. (BWI) has announced its new construction debris recycling pilot program.
BWI will test the construction debris recycling program with major customers in its Calgary and Edmonton operations in Alberta, Canada. The construction industry in the Calgary/Edmonton corridor is the fastest growing market in North America, according to a news release from BWI. Growth in this area is presenting general contractors and homebuilders with significant challenges in managing growing waste in an environmentally sustainable manner.
BWI’s new program supports the industry’s new environmental sustainable initiatives, such as the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, GreenBuilt and GoGreen programs. To date, BWI has diverted more than 6,309 tons of C&D debris from landfill through its various initiatives.
Budget Waste Inc. is a waste solutions company in Western Canada that provides recycling services to commercial, industrial, construction, homebuilders and residential clients.
