Brokk Introduces Its New 400 Demolition Robot

Brokk Inc. will introduce the 400 Demolition Robot at this year’s Concrete World in February.

Brokk Inc., Monroe, Wash., has introduced the Brokk 400, a new demolition robot, which is bigger in size and capacity than any other model in the Brokk range, according to the company. The Brokk 400 will be introduced to the international market at the World of Concrete in Las Vegas in February 2009, the company adds.

 

The Brokk 400 is designed for heavy concrete demolition in environments where weight on floor decks is an issue. The machine weighs 4,800 kilograms and has a hitting power of no less than 1048 Joule.

 

The machine can also be uses with other demolition tools, such as concrete crushers, steel shears, scabbler, driller and different types of buckets and grapples. Other features include a higher chassis set-up and a three-part arm system. The machine has a horizontal reach of almost 23 feet and a vertical reach of close to 25 feet.

 

For hot environments, the Brokk 400 can be equipped with heat resistant hoses, extra cylinder protection, caterpillar tracks, steel outrigger pads and an air cooling system.
