British Based Group Announces Conference Dates

Conference scheduled for May.

With the help of a distinguished group of speakers, the Community Recycling Network will be holding its CRN 2003 conference. The meeting will provide practical advice and workable case studies, helping attendees find effective solutions to challenges set out in the governments waste strategy. 

The 14th Annual Conference will be held May 14-16 in Liverpool, England.

Keynote addresses from the Minister for the Environment, the Rt Hon Michael Meacher, Susan Hubbard, Eureka Recycling, St Paul, Minnesota, David Robinson, Philadelphia City Council and Christina Seidel, Recycling Council of Alberta, Canada bring their expertise to compliment essential presentations from home grown experts which include Liam Black, FRC Group, Liverpool, Dr Dominic Hogg, Eunomia Research and Development, David Mansell, Avon FoE and Andy Bond, ECT as well as many other new and exciting contributors.

Hot topics covered in both presentations and workshops include European Legislation and its impacts on the UK waste industry, market development, product stewardship, funding for local authorities and community groups, engaging the public with awareness campaigns, best value curbside collection options and schemes, social enterprise, community leadership and local strategic partnerships, as well as contributions from many other expert speakers.

In addition to the program the CRN will be offering site visits during the first day to two exceptional projects.

There is also the opportunity to exhibit during day 1 and 2 of the conference, spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
