New Twiflex VCS MK 4 caliper brakes are engineered for improved performance in a broad range of applications. Twiflex Ltd. has introduced the VCS MK 4 caliper brake, its newest model in a long line of reliable spring-applied, hydraulically released caliper brakes. The VCS MK 4 is designed for a wide array of applications including hoists, conveyor drives, cranes, ship loaders, wind turbines, and drill rigs in industries including mining, steel, pulp and paper, and marine. The brakes have been engineered to provide a 50 percent increase in pad area. The units also feature increased service factors, modular construction for easy assembly and maintenance, precision monitoring options, as well as improved sealing and full compatibility with existing VCS mounts and controlled braking systems. The brake comes as a standard two-module design. The brake is provided as a complete unit with two pre-fitted brake pads.
