The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA), Washington, says total boxboard production in the United States increased 2.0 percent compared to October 2014 output.
Production in October 2015 also increased by 0.5 percent compared to the prior month, says the trade group. The production of recycled boxboard increased compared to October 2014 and also when compared to the previous month, according to AF&PA.
“Total solid bleached boxboard and liner production increased when compared to October 2014 but decreased compared to last month,” the AF&PA adds in a mid-November press release announcing the figures and the release of the group’s October 2015 U.S. Paperboard Report.
