Bob Davis, GreenMan's president and CEO says that "it is gratifying to be recognized by the Boston Business Journal for our efforts over the past several years." He adds, "As we approach the end of fiscal 2004, our sights are clearly focused on fiscal 2005 and implementing performance enhancing initiatives which were commenced during the last half of fiscal 2004 including the installation of our Georgia value-added waste wire processing equipment which is expected to be operational within 30 days."
GreenMan was founded in 1992 and is comprised of six operating locations that collect, process and market more than 30 million scrap tires in whole, shredded or granular form. The company currently operates tire processing plants in California, Georgia, Iowa, Minnesota, Tennessee and Wisconsin and operates under exclusive agreements to supply whole tires used as alternative fuel to cement kilns located in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee and Texas.
