Netherlands-based Bollegraaf Recycling Solutions has presented the “latest developments and innovations” offered by its two production companies, Bollegraaf Recycling Machinery bv and Lubo Systems bv, in hall 17, stand G31-F30 of the RWM trade show in Birmingham, England, held Sept. 10-12, 2013.
Among the new products on display were “Anti-Wrapping StarScreen technology and RoBB, the latest in fully automated sorting robotics.”
RoBB stands for Robotics By Bollegraaf and is described by the company as a “fully automated robot able to pick multiple kinds of plastics, such as PET, polyethylenes and polystyrene, as well as paper and OCC, delivering high levels of purity and separation quality during the final stages of quality control, resulting in a significantly higher value of your output.”
After appearing at RWM, the RoBB unit on display will undergo extensive testing at Hanbury Plastics Recycling Ltd. (HPR) in the U.K., according to Bollegraaf.
The Anti-Wrapping StarScreen from Lubo Systems bv is designed to combine the advantages of a trommel screen and traditional star screens by taking out the potential disadvantages of both systems: “no wrapping of film, tape or textile, and no sausage formation of materials. Thanks to the aggressive agitation, even a high throughput will still lead to a high purity of materials,” according to Lubo.
Bollegraaf Recycling is the trading name of Bollegraaf Recycling machinery BV and Lubo Systems BV. It has subsidiaries in Germany, France, England and Spain for sales and service and a large dealer organization that covers North America and other parts of the world. The company has been producing equipment for more than 50 years.
