Black & Decker/DeWalt power tools has been recognized by the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corp. for its commitment to the environment through recycling batteries. Black & Decker/DeWalt was presented the "Green Medal of Honor," which honors the company's industry-leading efforts to educate consumers and employees on the importance of recycling rechargeable batteries.
Black & Decker/DeWalt integrated RBRC's battery recycling program into Home Depot stores throughout Canada and the United States. The company also assisted in the installation of collection boxes and the training of Home Depot staff. Black & Decker/DeWalt batteries include the RBRC's seal, "recycle me" stickers and information to direct consumers to the RBRC's Web site — www.rbrc.org.
