The Basic Industries Group, New York, is presenting a Steel Recycling Management Forum in mid-November in Birmingham, Ala.
The event is being billed as “a forum dedicated to the examination of price trends and price discovery mechanisms.” It has been scheduled for Nov. 17 and 18 at the Renaissance Ross Bridge Resort in Birmingham.
Topics to be covered include “steel scrap price trends current and forward with a focus on the factors driving them—supply and demand including demand from overseas players,” according to a Web write-up promoting the event.
Additional topics to be addressed include the price mechanisms being used in the market and their potential biases and perceived accuracy of pricing methods.
More information on the event can be obtained by contacting Darren Dunay of The Basic Industries Group at (201) 873-0891 or ddunay@thebasicindustries.com.
