The Bureau of International Recycling’s Non-Ferrous Metals Division will conduct a workshop on hedging during its fall roundtable sessions. The workshop will be held Oct. 30th. The dates for BIR’s fall conference are Oct. 29-31 in Brussels, Belgium.
The workshop, "Hedging and Scrap: How and When?", will be given by Pierre Esquerre, managing director of Cegerisk, a French-based consulting firm.
Before becoming a part of Cegerisk, Esquerre worked for the Pechiney Group, where he was manager in charge of raw material contracts and risk management. Since 1997, he has been carrying our various studies on the primary metals sector and the LME, particularly for the French Ministry of Economy and Industry.
