The Bureau of International Recycling announced that it has reached record pre-registration for its 2004 BIR Spring Convention. At the present time more than 450 delegates have been confirmed for the meeting.
Keynote speaker for this Spring’s conference, scheduled May 23-26 in Berlin, will be Marcel Genet, founder and Managing Director of Laplace Conseil, a management firm created in 1995 and specialised in international strategy consulting for the metals, minerals and recycling industries.
He will examine the the middle to long term effects for the recycling industry stemming from the biggest enlargement in the history of the European Union.
Genet is familiar with the Eastern European markets, having conducted numerous missions for steel, scrap, non-ferrous and mineral leader in his specialty areas such as globalization, merger and acquisition, risk management and performance improvement.
